London-based singer-songwriter Shaun Farrugia released a new song “Dear God” along with a music video on December 1, 2022.
Shaun Farrugia is better known for the 2022 collaborative songs “If We’ll Ever Be Remembered” and “Starlight (Keep Me Afloat)” with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix.
The song is his third single, following “Blinding Lights” and “I Don’t Wanna Fall Asleep Yet”.
It was written by Tom Havelock, Shaun Farrugia, and Jacob Manson who also produced the track.
The accompanying video was directed by Slane.
Shaun Farrugia said of the song, “Long-distance is difficult when all you really want to do is spend every moment with that person. This song is very close to my heart and the lyrics are very personal. The lyric ‘How many times do I go to ask you? How many times do I gotta pray? I’m losing count of all of the times I promised her we’ll be okay’ is me desperately asking my girlfriend to be together in the same city, or even in the same timezone again.”
