Nigeria – Nafdac has lifted its ban on the medicine Chloroquine which had previously been banned from use in the country for years. Based on recent research and findings that Chloroquine drug works effectively in treating the Novel widespread virus Covid19.
Nafdac also specifies that only authorized specialist and doctors should administer treatment with the drug under supervision. Individuals are not permitted or advised to self medicate with the drug Chloroquine because if used wrongly may result in other medical issues.
This we hope will drastically reduce the slow rising of Covid19 affected and sick cases in Nigeria and further prevent its spread.
